My golly gracious, where has the time flown? Can you believe that it is 6 days until the big 4th of July, Independence Day celebration? Here in my little burg, we don’t have a celebration. But, the neighboring communities have some sis-boom-bah fireworks and concerts.
My girls are having a small get together with friends and I wanted them to have something to decorate their door with. I selected ScrappyDew’s July 4th 2013 file. It’s a rather large sign, 12x22, and this file has many elements to choose from. Here are the lyrics:
Uncle Sam and Girl—Recollections paper scraps
Phrases & fireworks—Recollections paper scraps, Petaloo glitter stack and DCWV glitter stack
Background paper—Karen Foster Design Patriotic Collage
I re-sized Uncle Sam and the girl to be ~6 inches tall. (lot easier to piece together if pieces are larger) (***just a note, resize the entire file at the same time. then your proportions will not be screwed up***) Then let your creativity shine through! Sure 4th of July is associated with the good ole red, white and blue. But if you look I snuck in pretty purple and gold also.
So here are some pics and close-ups.
this is the inside of my front door |
I gave each one of the figures a little bit of personality with there smiles. The background paper really ties the whole sign together.
So from my neck of the woods to yours, Happy 4th of July.
Bright blessings, Jana
