Magical Memories

Magical Memories:

I had a blast, mixing up ScrappyDew files for this amazing layout.    I started with the Castle from Knights 2013, then I made the kids from Independence Day.  I used the Tea cup from Latte Bears and a carousel from Carousel Horses.  I changed the colors on the horse to match the layout.  The balloons are from the MTC gallery.   I created the title by downloading the Twilight font from Font space.  I shaded each of my pieces, probably the most time consuming, but it adds such a nice look.  The mats are layered with glitter paper, and some Disney paper from EK Success.  I used black and white polka dot ribbon.  The background paper I used from my stash.

Graduation Card and Embossing Folder

Graduation Card & Embossing Folder

I used the Graduation 2013 file to create this embossed border and title for my card.  There is more content in this file than I used.  Very cute to work with.

Graduation is here and we have back to back to back…graduates with in our family and friends so this file was a no brainer to get.  I was happy with myself for making this embossing folder.  One thing I would add is a second layer of the image to the folder to get a deeper embossed look.

Embossing Folder/Strip

Folder assembled

I used repurposed chipboard aka “Texas Toast” box and blue painters tape to assemble folder.  I ran it through my Sizzix Big Shot with the platform and no tabs, but I did use the rubber mat.  I used my cricut and set it to cut twice.  It worked perfectly!

Mary Poppins

SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS

Here is a fun layout using the Mary Poppins set. You can find the set here:  http://shop.scrappydew.com/shop/item/100819  I also used the carousel set that worked perfectly together.  There are two versions of Bert and Mary, but I thought this worked for the color of papers I was using.  I found digital paper to print on Etsy.  I layered the border with a red background and created the edge by using a scallop border, I found an umbrella in the MTC gallery and joining it to the scallop.  I had umbrella ribbon in my stash with an adorable charm.  I added some bling and flowers and voila it’s done.

Alice in Wonderland Anniversary card

Here is a belated anniversary card I made for friends.  I thought the theming was perfect since we were late getting it to them.  I used the Alice in Wondrland file you can find here: http://shop.scrappydew.com/shop/search/wonderland/

I used a Alice Themed paper from my Disney stash and layered it on top of pink cardstock.  On the inside I made it a pop up card.  I cut slots for the table and mushroom chairs.  Once the table was popped up I used an exacto knife to cut out the whole for the table legs.  I used the Walt Disney font from Fontspace.com

Potatoe Head Sign

This is a functional sign that I made as part of  my design team project.  This was made with the Potatoe Heads free file in the vault.  If you haven’t checked out purchasing the vault now is good time.  You could pair this with the Story Toys 2013 file for an adorable scrapbook layout.

I used Toy Story themed paper from a seller on Etsy and printed at home from a digital file.  I used the free font Walt Disney from Fontspace.com I laminated it and it is now on our front door.

Snowman Kits For Sale Snowglobe

Upcylced Snowglobe

Here is a fun and easy winter project.  I repurposed a “Prima” flower’s jar by adding Recollections Tinsel Glitter and using the Scrappydew Snowman Kit 2012 pattern.  Because this was a small jar I dit the project as a print and cut.  I mirrored the pattern and printed 2 copies.  One tip, do not mirror the sign as it will reverse the words.    I scored a 1” wide piced of paper about 3” long at 1 1/4, 1 1/2 and 1 3/4.  I folded in the middle and adhered the 2 folds together for the base.  I slipped the folded piece in the middle of the 2 pieces.  I added ribbon and voila an adorable snow globe!

Snow in Love ` Easel Card

Snow in love

2013

Here is a snow globe easel card I created for my design team project with the “Snow in Love” 2013 pattern.  You can find the file here: http://shop.scrappydew.com/shop/item/96321

To create this I used Make The Cut basic shapes for the snow globe the base is a 4” trapezoid that I a wood grain embossing folder and ran thru my sizzix machine,  with a 4’ circle for the globe.  I did a print and cut on (printable) transparency.  I even sprayed the cut out with glimmer mist (hard to see in the photo) for a snowy effect.  I layered the inside with winter paper and a “frosty” quote.

I folded the top for the easel at 1 1/2” from the bottom but should have been at the 2” mark since there is space at the top of y globe.  My overall card is 5 x 5 1/2.

Just a Note easel card

“Just a Note”

Scare Crows 2013

I am a bit behind on posting my projects.  Here is an easel card I made using the Scare Crows 2013 pattern, you can find the file here: http://shop.scrappydew.com/shop/item/93616 .  I made my base easel card at 6x6.  I scored in half, and the top half in half again.  (I don’t like to measure ;) I used DCWV paper with autumn words.  The inside is lined with coordinating orange polka dots.  The hay mat is used with pop dots for the easel top to prop up against.  I stamped “just a note”.  This would be a beautiful card to recieve.  The best part I used this as a print and cut.  I was in a hurry, so it is so nice to be able to put together a card in minutes with the feature and still have that fun paper pieced design as it looks life with the tree poking over the easel.

Soaking up Memories

Soaking up Memories

I used the ”firefighters 2013” file to create this fun layout, you can find it here: http://shop.scrappydew.com/shop/item/95723 .  I like to use a variety of patterns and colors to achieve the theme I am working on.  I threw in some Disney to make if fun.  I used MTC gallery to download a firetruck for my border, by welding a ladder and truck together.  I layered it with yellow/white stripe paper, brick paper and black/white ribbon.  The bottom is hand cut wavy pattern layered with Disney paper.  The mats coordinate with the fire trucks & yellow stripe paper on top of the red white paper as the background.  My title I made used a Disney font with a water splat and layered.  But this set includes a cute title to use.

For the piecings I used the girl with the hose, a fire hydrant, the fire extinguisher that is hiding behind Mickey, and the firetruck with the boy.  Of course the Fire station to tie it all together.  I love that I found this brick pattern paper, it pulled the firestation together perfectly.  I added some ribbon to the mats.  For the lil girl I used peachy keen stamp for her face, it was so cute!!

Pirate Crew

Pirate Crew

Here is my latest DT layout featuring Pirates at Scrappy Bay.  This would be a fun way to feature your childs dress up costumes.

I used a variety of papers:   A few  pirate themed, two sets of stripes, black/white and red/white.  You could use Michelle’s wavy pattern she made recently for the bottom layers, and add pola dot ribbon.  I downloaded a free Pirate Font and made my title with Make The Cut.  I also mixed in the Pirate Palz for some fun accessories.

Bushels of Fun

Bushels of Fun

I used the “Carmel Apple” file for this fun layout.  I always have to get a carmel apple on our visit to Disneyland.  Here are some fun apples they have there.

I used the border, girl and boy for this layout.  I made the candy store myself, and added the basket of apples from another source.  I layered my papers for the borders and used ribbon on the top border.  I used the Waltograph font for the title using MTC.

Magical Memoies Scrapbook Page

Here is another “Magical Memories” file I used for the kids.  You can find the pattern file here:http://www.scrappydew.com/store/world/

I created the title in MTC using different fonts.  I added a McQueen die cut and created the border of tires using MTC by using the basic shapes donut and welded together 14 pieces and layered in black and white.  I also used a car border from MTC.

Title: Magical Memories

Here is an adorable title I created (for a mini album) using the “Magical Memories” file you can find here:

I cut out a Mickey Head from MTC and adjusted the title to fit.  I even added a few Disney stickers.  I also used pop dots to lift the head off the page.  For the album I used Disney themed paper and ribbon.

I Miss You A Latte ~ Card

I’ve enjoyed making Easel cards recently and decided to make up a few with some Scrrappydew files.  This is the Latte Bears: http://www.scrappydew.com/store/holiday/valentine-easter.php

To make this card I used A6 card.  I used the Martha Steward score board to make my folds and an envelope, but neither are required.  The paper is from DCWV, Nana’s Kitchen, coffee paper.

I used a 9” x 6 1/4” cardstock of coordinating paper, scored at 4 1/2” and folded the top in half for the Easel, but you could fold/score higher at 1” from the top to achieve a taller easel.  I glued my SD Latte Bear on the bottom to the front of the card.  I used Curlz font on my computer.  I printed out the title and then lined up the heart and ran it back thru my printer for the title.  I fussy cut some of the coffee cups out and used pop dots, layered on more coffee paper.  On the inside I added a piece of plain cardstock, inked the edges and added my sentiment..
